阅读在2016考研英语考试中是重头戏。因此，在精读真题的过程中，我们可以在每一次精读训练之后增加一个环节，就是把这里面的重点词汇总结一下，仔细体会其用法，真正把单词和真题语境结合在一起。
★ socialism
n.社会主义
【例】Socialism means peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind.社会主义意味着世界和平，意味着人与人之间相亲相爱。
【构词】social（社会的）+-ism（名词后缀，表示“主义”）→社会主义
★ urgent
a.急迫的，紧要的，紧急的
【例】The most urgent and harrowing housing needs have remained much the same over the last two centuries.两个世纪以来，最为紧迫和令人苦恼的住房需求几乎景况依然。
【构词】-ent形容词后缀，与-ence或ency相对应，表示“具有……的性质”
【同义替换】critical, acute
【派生】urgently ad.紧急地 urgency n.紧急的事
【真题】Any urgent mission to a hard-to-get-to place is a likely task for a helicopter.任何一项去往难以到达地区的紧急任务都可以用直升机来完成。
★ erase
v.擦掉；删去；消磁
【例】Most of our fears are unreasonable, but they are impossible to erase.我们的恐惧多半是毫无根据的，却又无法消除。
【同义替换】delete, remove
【派生】eraser n.橡皮 erasable a.可消除的，可抹去的 erasibility n.可消除性
★ weight
n.重量；负荷，重担；重要性，分量；砝码，秤砣
【例1】The dead weight of poverty oppressed these farmers.贫穷的重负压在这些农民的身上。
【例2】This decision may give predominant weight (importance/influence) to a single intangible.这样的决策可能给无形的因素以很大的影响力。
【派生】weighty a.重要的，沉重的，有力的 weighted a.加重的

对于核心词汇，考生可根据词频高低，从单词词义、常见搭配、派生词等角度入手，并结合真题例句加以理解记忆，另外，也可以通过词缀等构件来推导整个单词的大义。只有掌握了一定数量的词缀，然后不断变化组合，才能快速将核心级词汇全部解码。希望每位考生都能按计划有步骤的复习，取得成功。
