1996年7月本科毕业于湖南大学腐蚀与防护专业，随后在江铃汽车集团公司工作至1999年8月。1999年9月～2002年5月湖南大学攻读硕士，2002年7月～2007年3月新加坡国立大学攻读博士，接着在深圳清华大学研究院从事博士后研究。博士后出站后于2009年9月到华南理工大学化学与化工学院从事教学和科研工作，目前主要负责广州现代产业技术研究院燃料电池技术研发中心产业化中试基地的建设工作。担任Fuel Cells, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy等杂志的审稿人。承担项目主要有国家自然科学基金、博士后科研启动、教育部留学回国人员科研启动和省部产学研结合项目等，已经发表SCI收录论文30多篇，第一作者（或通讯作者）20篇，获得授权国家发明专利两项。
