Dr Zengping Chen studied at Hunan University gaining a BSc degree in 1995, MSc in 1998 and PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 2001. After graduation, he worked as a lecturer in Hunan University, and was awarded the first Prize of Hunan Province for the Promotion of Science and Technology (2002). From Nov. 2002 to Dec. 2008, he was appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Centre for Process Analytics and Control Technology (CPACT) at Newcastle University, UK. His activities in the development and application of in-line and non-invasive methods for the monitoring and control of complex chemical and pharmaceutical processes cover a range of techniques, including NIR, ATR-FTIR, FT-Raman and X-Ray Diffraction Spectroscopy.
