1982年1月毕业于重庆大学机械制造工艺设备及自动化专业，获工学学士学位；1987年9月至1992年10月在重庆大学机械学专业硕、博连读，于1992年10月博士毕业并获工学博士学位。
职称职务及相关头衔：
机械工程与自动化学院院长，教授，博士生导师，四川省学科带头人后备人选、四川省有突出贡献优秀专家、中国机械工程学会高级会员、中国机械工程学会工业自动化分会委员、中国机械工程学会齿轮制造专业委员会委员、中国人工智能学会理事、中国人工智能学会足球机器人工作委员会副主任委员、FIRA中国分会西南支部长、四川省机械工程学会工业信息化专业委员会主任委员。
研究方向：1、机构与机械传动技术；2、机器人技术。

1、 获奖情况：
