今天我们来说一说考研英语的长难句，很多2016考研的人觉得长难句貌似只在英译汉那部分会用到，其实不然，长难句可以说是贯穿着考研英语的各个题型，不论是阅读还是作文，都有长难句的用武之地。而主语从句则是其中重要的一环，为打通长难句的“任督二脉”之必备功力，下面我们就来学习一下主语从句的相关知识。
主语从句的结构
1）关系连词+句子+动词
2）It+ be动词+形容词/名词短语+关系连词+句子
3）It+不及物动词+that
【例1】It is generally agreed that a person of high intelligence is one who can grasp ideas readily, make distinctions, reason logically, and make use of verbal and mathematical symbol in solving problems.
【译文】人们普遍认为，高智商的人有这样一些特点：理解力强，辨别力强，逻辑推理能力强，并且在解决问题的过程中善于利用文字和数学符号。
【解析】这句话真正的主语是由关系连词that引导的主语从句，这个句子之所以被放在后面，一是为了调整句子结构，让句子平衡；同时也和英美人士的表达习惯有关，重要和完整的信息他们习惯在一开始就表达出来。首先表明，大家都持认同的态度，然后再说大家都认同什么事情。
It+ be动词+形容词+关系连词+句子
在语言的发展中于是就有了这样一些常见的表达，为了方便同学们在考试中更快地实现中英文的转化，先将它们的常见中文表达罗列出来：

很可能……

我们知道，状语在很多时候是修饰整个句子的，一些副词可以提出来单独翻译，这个结构中的形容词其实也是在修饰后面的整个句子，所以在表意的时候这个结构可以和一个副词相互替换，比如：
It is clear that she is a liar.= She is clear a liar.
It is possible that these principles may be regarded as normal in years to come.= These principles may possibly be regarded as normal in years to come.
【例2】It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife.( Pride and Prejudice)
【译文】这是一个大家都认同的事实，一个有钱的单身男人一定渴望娶到一个可人的妻子。（《傲慢与偏见》）
【解析】这个句子的结构是：It+ be动词+名词短语+关系连词+句子（主语从句）
