考研英语大纲明确规定考查考生根据语境猜测生词难句的能力，生词包含两种情况，其一，不超过3%的生词(超纲词)，其二，熟词生义现象。同时，考研英语对熟词生义的考查不仅仅局限于词义句意题，在传统阅读理解的文章中，也经常出现熟词生义现象，干扰考生对文章内容的正确理解。所以，了解并积累熟词生义现象对考研英语获得较好成绩很有必要。现以阅读理解真题出现过的熟词生义现象为例，进行详解。
