张焱，男，1964年出生，博士，副教授，遗传学专业硕士生导师。
1987年毕业于湖南师范大学生物系，1987-1990年在湖南农业大学读作物遗传育种专业硕士研究生，1996-2000年在澳大利亚墨尔本大学攻读植物分子生物学与生物技术专业博士学位。2000-2001年在中科院上海植物生理生态研究所植物分子遗传国家重点实验室做博士后研究，2002年赴英国IACR（Rothamsted Research Ltd）做访问学者，2003年到湖南农业大学农学院工作，2003年底赴美国佛罗里达大学植物病理系从事博士后研究工作。
张焱博士的主要研究方向为植物发育分子生物学与基因工程。
