邓元望（1968-），男，湖南省安化县人。2002年在华中科技大学获动力机械及工程专业博士学位，2006年湖南大学控制科学与工程学科博士后流动站出站，现为湖南大学机械与运载工程学院车辆工程系副教授。主要讲授传热学、发动机电子控制技术等课程。作为主要成员参与了湖南大学先进动力总成技术研究中心实验室建设工作。参与科研课题5项、教改课题2项。发表论文三十多篇，电动汽车与发动机排放控制技术方面的鉴定成果各一项，教材一本。
主要研究方向：发动机排放控制技术、混合动力电动汽车技术、发动机电子控制技术。
