李开喜男，1964年11月生。1990年毕业于四川大学，获理学硕士学位，1999年在中科院山西煤炭化学研究所获工学博士学位。2000年任中科院山西煤化所研究员，2005年担任博士生导师，2002年起任中国科学院炭材料重点实验室副主任。
李开喜研究员2002年获山西省科技进步二等奖。目前承担国家"863"、 国家自然科学基金项目、中科院创新项目等课题。至今已培养及正在培养的博士生5名，硕士生7名。发表论文50余篇，申请国家发明专利30余项。
