教育经历：
1977年毕业于北京大学高分子化学专业
1981年硕士生毕业于郑州大学化学系
1982年中山大学高分子物理化学专业获理学硕士学位
1987年四川大学高分子材料专业获工学博士学位
工作经历：
1987年至今，北京化工大学材料科学与工程学院。1995年为研究员，2003年为博士生导师。
1990年9月至1991年1月，在日本东京农工大学化学系做访问学者，从事高分子阻隔材料的反应增容研究。
1998年4月至2000年9月，美国南依利诺大学NSF高级摩擦学研究中心博士后。
2000年10月至2002年6月，美国南依利诺大学NSF高级摩擦学研究中心访问教授。从事汽车摩擦材料和摩擦机理研究。
学术兼职：
中国机械工程学会摩擦学分会第五届摩擦、耐磨、减磨材料和技术专业委员会委员。
Journal of Nanocomposites and Nanoceramics (ISSN: 0976-6294)编委。
