项目主持情况：
先后主持国家级科研项目10余项、国家自然科学基金4项、省部级科研项目20多项。现主持国家支撑计划项目1项（生物源毒鼠药剂的研发与应用，经费：175万元），四川省科技支撑计划项目2项（若尔盖湿地保护的关键技术研究与示范，经费：50万元；甘孜、阿坝种植中药材生态治沙关键技术与示范，经费：300万元），横向合作项目1项。作为主研人员参加的国家的国际合作项目1项， 省部级项目3项。
个人介绍：
在国内外首次分离发现了草原毛虫核型多角体病毒、栗黄枯叶蛾核型多角体病毒、盗毒蛾核型多角体病毒等三种昆虫病毒；一种新的昆虫病原微生物――类产碱假单胞菌；从该昆虫病原微生物中发现了一种新的杀虫蛋白；并成功地克隆到该杀虫蛋白基因，该基因已获得国家发明专利；并将该杀虫基因成功地构建了具有杀虫效果的抗虫转基因牧草新材料，抗虫转基因牧草新材料已经获得了国家发明专利。
在人类肿瘤的发生机制与肿瘤治疗研究方面，探明了大肠癌的一种发生机制，该研究结果于2010年发表在美国科学院院报（PNAS），该研究结果在国内外都引起了巨大反应；在真菌研究方面，应用真菌多糖治疗肿瘤的研究，取得了很好的结果，研制出三种真菌多糖保健品。
在国内外首次研制出草原毛虫核型多角体病毒杀虫剂和细菌灭蝗剂，现已获得国家新农药登记，并在青藏高原草地大面积应用于草原毛虫和蝗虫防治；应用肉毒梭状芽孢杆菌产生的A型肉毒毒素研制成生物灭鼠剂防治草原鼠害，长期在青藏高原草地大面积应用。
从2000年以来，从事生态环境保护的研究与应用，成功地研究出青藏高原退化草地和沙化草地的治理模式与治理技术体系；高寒退化湿地生态系统恢复模式与恢复技术体系。
